The farm

"Not a moment in life is wasted on a farm"

Amongst the other aspects of Evans & Moose, Hannah and Ric also run a working smallholding, where sustainable practices take a leading role. What started a necessity, like harvesting hay by hand, preserving food and keeping a low maintenance allotment has grown to a passion and is something we now integrate with more modern practices helping us find a more balanced approach to working the land.

We have a small fibre flock of sheep which is growing, with the addition of some great bloodlines producing some fantastic fleeces as well as a flock of quail and chickens, including some rare breeds which provide us with beautiful eggs, sometimes available for sale at our farm gate, and Alpaca, whose fibre is sold in our online store along with lots of beautiful woollen bits and pieces.

Hannah & Ric also grow, weave and sell their own willow from the farm. Woven items are available in the online store and any willow cuttings will also be listed there when available.

As a couple, Hannah and Ric enjoy traditional methods of agriculture, meaning the farm becomes a chance for complete escapism from everyday life, from this lifestyle The Considered Living Collective was born, check it out here. This way of living is something over the next few years they hope to expand and open up to others who want to take a step away from the stresses of modern society.

There are lots of future plans for the Farm at Evans & Moose, including experience opportunities, so keep an eye out!

We're always up for a bit of networking and are extremely passionate about the life lessons farming can teach all ages so, if you fancy a chat, feel free to get in touch!
